Hi everyone and welcome to Room 19's blog for Year Two! I am super excited to meet everyone once we return from our long holiday! I am sure you all had a fantastic break. I hope everyone is ready for a big and exciting year ahead.
Through our blog you will be able to access information and updates on what is happening in our classroom and school. The blog is a fantastic way to save paper and easily keep everyone up to date with any information, events and reminders. It may be a good idea to save the blog address to your mobile or tablet for quick access. Our blog address is also displayed outside our classroom. The blog address is terrifictwos19.blogspot.com.
About the Teacher
During our 'Parent Night', which will be held this term, you will briefly get to know a little bit about me. Until then, here are some fun facts about your child's teacher!
- My full name is Domenica Fitzpatrick. I am turning 27 years old this year.
- This will be my 5th year teaching at Wattle Grove Primary School.
- I completed my university prac in Pre-Primary at the school and from there I gained a teaching job!
- I have taught Year Two, Year Three, Pre-Primary and Kindergarten.
- I am from an Italian background, am the second-oldest of 4 siblings, was 'Miss Gerace' before I married last year and have an adorable Golden Retriever pup named Bonnie!
On your child's first day of Year Two, please bring everything from the book list to class. This is so we can sort everything out on day one. Any spares will be safely stored in the classroom for students to use as they run out throughout the year.
